Direct Support Professional (PRN, Willow River Farms)
Pay Rate: $9.44 per hour
Schedule: PRN
Location: Willow River Farms (4073 FM 3318 Brookshire, TX 77423)

Responsibilities: Responsible for instructing and training adults with disabilities, primarily developmental disabilities, within a group home setting. Performs assessments; implements and documents clients’ program plans under the direction of case coordinators; and monitors the safety and health needs of their assigned clients. Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities: Responsible for instructing and training adults with disabilities, primarily developmental disabilities, within a day program setting. Performs assessments; implements and documents clients’ program plans under the direction of case coordinators; and monitors the safety and health needs of their assigned clients. Conducts training sessions in areas such as daily living skills, community awareness, grooming and hygiene, and personal safety. Instructional materials are provided as a part of the daily training, as well as scheduling and participating in community field trips. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year working in a human services setting. Valid Texas Driver’s License, CPR and SAMA certification upon hire and renewed annually thereafter.


Direct Support Professional (Full Time, HCS)

Location: Group Home
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. and Monday- Friday 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Chief Development Officer (pending)

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate should be very familiar with the development community and have a successful history of Fundraising and managing grant writers in Houston. Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop, and maintain a comprehensive private and public sector fundraising program on behalf of the development and marketing team at the Center and to enhance the mission and vision of The Center. This position is also responsible for the overall leadership of the Development and Marketing department, including working with the Board of Trustees to establish annual and long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies and fully implement all such plans to achieve The Center’s objectives. The Chief Development Officer leads a staff of four individuals and coordinates with the CEO of The Center, Board of Trustees, and other appropriate committees to accomplish the agency’s goals. Additionally, the Chief Development Officer of The Center will collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and The Center’s Board to assist them in the execution of their goals, particularly as it relates to annual fundraising objectives as well as the development and marketing team at the Center.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Position requires strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. Have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees. Have the ability to maintain professional composure in stressful situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Must have valid Texas driver’s license. CPR and PMAB certification required upon hire and renewed annually thereafter.
